The idea to create an english section was defintely good. But what about the results ?
Only one person has been interested since two months, and nobody talk or even create a thread. Bid deal.
Should we post an announcement on english forums ? otherwise what can we do to enhance that section and interest more foreigners here ?
Anyway, we can keep that section, but so we have to find a way to give it life, don't you think so dear pilots ?

Maybe we do not need a specific english section. Just mixing french and english in the diferent topics. The drivers that want to use english use english, those that prefer french use french. We (ODS Admins) can continue to make announcements and important informations in both languages like now.

Looks like a good website and league here. Its very difficult to understand but it looks like a lot of fun. I am sure a lot of English speaking drivers would like to join this series if they knew about it and could understand the website more easily.

I can tell you, we have really a lot of fun, somtime hard discussions too Très souriant but that's a part of life Sourire

It's really difficult to write everything on both languages. Some of our french driver do not speak english, but a lot of them can. We have at least one driver who's french but lives in UK Sourire

Concerning the website, I'm working on it, but it's difficult, because it's a "standard solution" and my short connections to the developer wasn't short enough until now to change his meaning about this. I asked him many time to make the package more "open", so it would be easier to merge it with a standard portal. He do not want to do it.
So, for the moment, we have a solution that really fulfill all our requirements, but not very user friendly.

But, I will continue to work at this point to find a more acceptable solution Sourire

If you know drivers that have the ODS "gentleman driver" spirit, they are always welcome. Maybe the more "non french speaking drivers", the more exchanges in english.
Yesterday for example a new driver from Malta registered. One other non french speaking driver Clin d'oeil

"Hard discussions"...  you guys just like to hear yourselves talk if you ask me.  lol

"Civil discussions between widely opposed viewpoints" is a better description, imo.

I don't speak French either... apparently I've managed to fool you guys with something which looks like French from a distance, but really isn't.

I mean I can express myself a bit, but I don't feel like I master French the same way as I do Dutch and English.
